I've got an 80 pickup. Sticker is unreadable and book says read
sticker. I'm trying to get thing going after a blown head gasket, and
finding the head is warped.

Was that a type-o Ray? Shouldn't that be .035"? Although 3/1000 of
an inch won't make much difference in spark temp.

I got the .032" spec from autozone.com's on-line vehicle repair guide
specifications. It is possible that they are incorrect but like you said,
.003" won't make much of a difference.
